Zhang Hua and Xinxin received special homework to create a city sound map. Initially recording common city noises, they later explored the hutong and discovered unique sounds: carpenter's rhythmic hammering, tanghulu seller's calls, pigeon whistles, and cooking sounds. By listening carefully, they captured authentic stories of daily life, creating a vibrant Beijing sound map that taught them the beauty of truly hearing the world around them.
